And it is so awesome! I'm so glad I decided to order it! The quality is very good, it is all metal and wood. It was all about that little cord for me! When I saw that at the store I just loved it. I remember when I was little so many appliances had that cloth cord, before they started making them out of plastic. And I still have some of my grandmothers wooden handled kitchen ustensils that have that green wood. So cute!

I got mine (well not technically mine)today too. I absolutely love it and don't know how I am going to keep it hidden until next Christmas. I was smitten with the cord as well. I remember people talking about Mattel getting rid of the PM things to replace them with Mattel versions (less quality) but didn't Kit come out after the sale? Anyways, awesome, awesome set. If you don't have it get it before it's completely gone.

Yes, Kit is a Mattel doll, although I don't know if she was planned while the company was still Pleasant Co. I know the planning of a new historical can take years.

The historical dolls take years to develop so I'm sure Kit and her accessories were in the works before Mattel took over.
The waffle iron is super cute and made of remarkable materials, with the heavy metal and ceramic or china top. That makes it a rare offering in the world of toys. I hope everyone got one that wanted one.

Julia I love your photo albums, you are SO creative! I adore your harvest dress you made for mini Josefina, and your embroidery is so beautiful!

To me, the waffle iron, especially with the cloth cord, is one of the best AG accessories, imo, so I'm especially sad to see it go. The attention to detail and the accuracy are phenomenal. I can't help thinking that if AG were to come out with a waffle iron today, it would look a lot different.

Does anyone know if there are still any available? I'm not going to be back in LA until after next weekend.
